Lorraine Guckian

Lorraine graduated from the University of Brighton in 2012 with BSc Physiotherapy. She also holds a degree in Health Science and Physiology from Sligo IT. Since graduating she has worked in the UK in paediatric and NHS settings. In the Paediatric setting she gained a vast amount of experience working with neurological conditions particularly Cerebral Palsy and Muscular Dystrophy. She had the pleasure of collaborating with some leading consultants from London who specialised in spinal profiles, orthopaedics, and neurology.

Following on from Paediatrics Lorraine gained experience within the NHS Acute hospital setting. Here she gained a vast amount of knowledge in orthopaedics (Trauma and Elective), respiratory, and Musculoskeletal setting.

Having played GAA most of her life Lorraine understands the role of injury prevention and the importance of good rehabilitation programmes to prevent re-injury.

Lorraine specialises in the areas of Orthopaedics, Clinical Pilates, Exercise Rehabilitation and Dry Needling. Lorraine is keen to give the patient s a ‘hands-on’ approach. Lorraine is committed to providing her patients with the very best evidence based treatments and continues to up-date her skills and knowledge by attending courses on a regular basis.
